    To go back to the OP, 1. This has always been the difference between self-hosted and cloud. 2. There have always been limits on free speech. 3. As a forum, you are always beholden to all upstream providers.

    If I were a betting man, my money would be on the person doing the reporting to the host probably didn't start it until after the supposed free speech advocate squashed their speech.

    It's also one of the great flaws. Timeliness of content can be important. In this case, IPS doesn't even offer a first-party chat anymore.
