Wordfence have just announced 3 new login security features including free 2FA, which is pretty big.
I've spent a lot of time researching free 2FA options for Wordpress and the good ones are nearly all paid. It's crazy that it's not included in the core at this point.
(Side note: I give XF a lot of grief for being slow with stuff sometimes, but big props to them for being incredibly on the ball in this regard and implementing it nearly 4 years ago!)
If you have any WP sites, I'd recommend Wordfence Free anyway (it's on all my sites), and now we can get 2FA included for free, from a reputable company with a premium product accompanying it, so they should maintain it well.
