We proudly announce the availability of the public demo of WoltLab Suite: Core 3.0 and WoltLab Suite: Forum (Burning Board) 5.0 running on beta.woltlab.com.

You're invited to try out our upcoming software suite and please leave us your thoughts in the forums, your feedback is greatly appreciated.

This demo is used to trace down any issues and help us building the first beta version that will be once again released to the public, including non-licensees. Please note that this is still an Alpha version, we appreciate if you could let us know of any issues or problems you may encounter.

Looking good and it certainly is super fast.
they're behind cloudflare apparently - curious how they'd perform without cloudflare

Better, probably, because one saves several roundtrips for the PHP generated response. The images and JavaScript files are cached inside the browser after one request anyway.

Ugh... the new look feels like it took all the best parts of WBB's old theme and replaced them with all the bad parts of IPS' themes...

IPS 4, WBB 3, and XF 2 are all heading in the direction of a very flat styling.

There's flat design, and there's bad design. Skimping on visual clues like borders or backgrounds may make your design look modern, but in fact it decreases readability.

And none of them really innovating, like a Flarum or Discourse, so the bleeding will continue to the likes of Facebook.

Worth keeping in mind it's Alpha yet and things could change with style. There's already been a few replies from English users saying style is too sparse looking, maybe that will be taken onboard if enough people are saying same thing. I don't know if the German users are saying anything about it, can't read the language. But they are the bulk of the users.
