Both Beta and RC versions are free, only the final release (4.1.0) as well as bugfix releases (4.1.1, 4.1.2, etc.) require a valid license.

Woltlab Burning Board (WBB) 4.1 beta 2 is now out. Updating is as simple as opening your Administration Control Panel and navigate to
System > Packages > List Packages.
Please click on the button Search for Updates located in the right corner above the package list.
