What's your desktop monitor size and it's resolution?

I've just upgraded my monitor. My previous monitor was a 19'' LG with a screen resolution of 1440 x 990 -- It's about 2 and a half years old. Needless to say - I've gotten a lot of use out of it. I've put it through it's paces that for sure and honestly... I didn't realize how utterly old and used it was until now.

My new monitor is a 24'' BenQ (1920 x 1080 resolution) and came shipped UPS this afternoon. Got an awesome deal on it ==> $170 brandnew from eBay - 3 year parts/labor/backlight warranty - I'm a happy camper. This monitor is HUGE. The colors are crisp, which you'd expect with HD. But wow. It's almost like seeing the internet through new eyes. The differences between these monitors is stunning. But of course the LG had basically been running non-stop since I bought it a few years back. It had a few dead pixels and was quite dim - the brightness had faded... I've been happy with all LG products I buy. So no complaints. But I swear - it's safe to say I've found a new goto for monitors anyway. It's safe to say the BenQ is the best monitor I've ever had.

Anyway - This (may?) bring up an interesting discussion... Since there is this new advent of larger size monitors hitting the scene - Is this why we're seeing a trend towards responsive design? Perhaps this is where the max-width css element comes into play more and more, as I see TAZ has a max-width of 1320px --- Do you think there is a new, larger standard width for fixed width web designs?

Questions questions questions. Discuss and vote in the poll - 2 options each: 1 for monitor size and the other for resolution.

I have 2x Dell st2220L 21.5 Inch, had them since 2011/2012. They have 1920x1080 resolutions full HD. They go pretty strong, haven't had one problem with them, first thing I have bought off Dell as well!

My previous monitors were a 17 inch crt and a 18 inch flat screen that died.

I use a Vizio 32' widescreen with full 1080pi HD. This is connected to my nvidia gt430 video card via hdmi so I have full 1080 video and sound through the same card.

For an Ubuntu pc's it's more than enough (it's actually more than enough for Windows 8.1 and 9, but I'll be sticking to my linux). And it runs all the games and videos I play. If I were to upgrade, I'd look toward a whole new computer.

Optimum screen size is 1920x1080 16:9 I can make it go larger with some tweaking, but it's not exactly idea to do so.

I have 3 I use on a daily basis, 10 total (because I kept all the computers in my shop when I sold the business). The laptop on the side with two 26 inch monitors attached (I selected 27" because there wasn't a 26" in the poll).

The very first LCD monitor I bought I still have and use on my 2nd computer. It's a 19" Viewsonic. It cost me about $1200 in 2000. When you pay that much for a monitor you get quality. 15 years of use and it has no dead pixels, still on the same set of backlight tubes, the screen is as crisp as my new monitors and the brightness blows all my other LCD monitors away.

I have a 17-inch Laptop + a 28-inch TV as my desktop monitor. I used to hook them together to work with a dual monitor but that would be annoying. LOL

Only 2 votes for 21" Monitor size. I think 21 is fine for normal work but I'm game lover so I'm also going to upgrade my system and will also change monitor.
