Read more about this showcase item here...Hi, I am Rick Gaspa the founder of JoeFm Radio as well as Veterans Briefing.com - "We are the Voice Of The American Veteran.
We are a community radio station for the patients and staff of the Veterans (VA) Medical Center(s) throughout the united states and abroad. We were founded near the original Las Vegas Veterans Hospital in Las Vegas in the early 2000s; we continue to provide full-service music and news programming 24 hours a day via local intranet and two internet streaming servers. We also transfer our most popular programming via podcast services such as Itunes and a number of other delivery services.
The mission of JoeFM Radio and Veterans Briefing.com is to be the voice of the American Veteran. Both our website located at JoeFM.org and our Flagship studio, JoeFM Radio strives to be all it can be as a media outlet dedicated to discussing veteran issues, and provide practical meaning for our surrounding communities. Our programs will convey a vast variety of informative and entertaining content, which will find broad appeal to veterans and non-veterans alike. The goal is to bridge the gap of the many issues that current, past, and even future generations of veterans will face, the issues that will have a real impact on our homes, communities and society. JoeFM streams 24/4 via the Internet. Our hopes are that every American Veteran will be able to listen to our programming no matter what part of the world he or she is residing in via hardwire connection, the airwaves or the Internet.
Veterans Briefing.com and JoeFm both broadcast from a purpose-built retro design studio in the home of the founder next to the Va Medical Center in Las Vegas. We have a small team of talented volunteer presenters who broadcast original radio shows and visit patients at their bedside as time is available. We offer technical training and support to all our staff who in return freely offer their time to our listeners, generating a much-needed feel-good factor which is proven to speed a healing way of life. No previous radio experience is necessary, just a good heart, commitment, and a (joeFM) smile.
JoeFM is entirely self-funded and relies on personal donations and fundraising events. One-Third of everything we raise goes directly to the Wounded Warrior Project Trust Fund. Your generous, tax-deductible donation to JoeFM and the Wounded Warrior Project® (WWP) enables us to help thousands of injured warriors returning from the battlefield and helps provide assistance...
