I no longer expect much of anything from FB. I got exceptionally little conversion as ROI as time invested.

We do nothing (admin wise) to promote our Pawsitively Terriers FB page yet little by little the numbers grow and generally speaking people people enjoy it and tell friends about it.

On the other hand we try really hard to promote the Forum, inviting every FB member when they join FB, promoting it through the use of Business Cards and personal recommendation. We make sure there are always new posts, informative and general chit chat as well as blogs and articles. If anyone raises a problem with their dog on FB we suggest that they will get a better response (quality wise) on the Forum, yet they rarely post there.

Everyone who joins the Forum is welcomed by members and suggestions made to increase their involvement. We also have regular competitions which we promote on our FB page. The response is paltry :( Of 184 only 18 are active - you only have to post once a fortnight to remain active yet imo FB is rubbish compared with a Forum

All very depressing
