Afternoon

Hoping someone can help

My forum has always struggled with search engine performance. I attribute some of that to other sites in my niche, but it's getting worse and not in line with activity on the site.

I've got all the meta tags in on XF, and added a few key words around the site but that's done diddly squat.

Any advice on this would be appreciated. it's not just Google, bing comes up pretty blank as well unless you type the name in.

You site is rather image orientated with a lot of excellent, high quality images. If you are not already doing it I would suggest adding ALT and TITLE tags to your images.

If I recall correctly your forum runs on Xenforo and I believe the ability to tag images was added into the core a little while ago. I'm no SEO expert but I've read that this can help boost your rankings plus it can have huge benefits for the visually impaired using screen readers.

You make an interesting point there.

Unfortunately the images are generally submitted by users, so controlling these in this way would be difficult.
I will look into the ability you suggest however.

Using the media gallery, however, might be able to help with that.
