A simple setup for any site experiencing a lot of spam threads. This is a good resource if you do not wish to hard delete spam cleaned threads immediately incase of a mistake or you simply want to monitor what is coming in to help prevent further spam.

Step #1
Forums -> Add node ->

Create a new forum node (Spam cleaner archive), assign it to a parent node that is only viewable to Staff! Be sure to deselect a few options like in the below screenshot, the most important one is...

The XF license validation was required before this site was upgraded, not sure if it is going to be added back or not.
