Three weeks ago I moved to another host, now 8 processors and 6GB ram.
The relocation was especially good for my mobile users.
And I introduced a style that I worked on for 3 months.
With grid.

I just migrated from SMF to XF2 (via XF1.5) Sunday night/Monday morning.

Took a LOOOONG time to import 130,000 PM's and 180,000 attachments but it worked. 40,000 members, almost 1M posts.

Desperately need a custom theme but using a free dark one I found. Need something lighter.

Well, mine certainly looks like a Xenforo Forum. :)
In '96 I started with Matt's WWWBoard, went to Discus around '98, VBulletin 3 in 2003, had a catastrophic crash in 2013 with unusable backups so started again with 0 posts on VB4, switched to Xenforo earlier this year.
Pleased with it so far.

https://devsbarn.com - Converted from vBulletin 4.2 to XenForo 2.1 the other day a little over a month old...did the style myself and working on content and editing posts for a lot more content within them.

https://1lf2g.com - Converted from IPS 4.4 (sold my license for IPS) to XenForo 2.1 yesterday, little over 4 months old with few members and about 38 posts. Nothing too big.

These days I don't see many conversions between the latest versions of XF & IPS (in either direction); any insight into the decision to switch from IPS 4.4 to XF 2.1?

I can't remember how I did it, but somehow I did it...I'm pretty sure I did the import with it. It's been over a month almost...since I done it. I removed the importer after I did it.

I think the interest was in why rather than how :)

Why? Cause I didn't feel a connection within the software...like it didn't keep me coming back to check on it or wanting anything to do with it...it was just there, really.
