Hi All, just wondering how you guys would handle an email such as this?

Hello

I would like to ask you to like and subscribe to my video:

https://www.linkedin.com/company/trulifedistribution

If I do not see a like and subscribe from you within 3 days, I will start to send spammy porn, gambling and escort backlinks to your website XXXXXXX which will pretty much kill its rankings and get it blacklisted on all the blacklists in existence.

Please also leave me 5 stars and write something good for my google reviews: https://www.google.com/search?q=tru...0l3j69i61l3.3212j0j7&sourceid=chrome&ie=UTF-8

I strongly recommend that you like my video and subscribe to my channel and I will also like your videos back.

I hope you will make the right choice. I have already created 5,000 GILF porn backlinks to your site and will remove them once you have acted on the above.

Please act fast. Desperate times call for desperate measures. This is business only. Hope you understand.

Thanks in advance and I look forward to seeing those likes and subscribes.

Kind regards

Cosmin Valentin Apetrei

Either the company listed have hired the worst SEO company in the world, or it seems like a competitor is trying to ruin their business. Just ignore it.

Yea it's not from them by the looks of it, there's an update on the LinkedIn page which says:

It has been brought to our attention that there is an ongoing smear campaign against TLD. If you have recently received a spam message, or email, mentioning TruLife, please contact us immediately as an investigation is underway.

Oh, my word. Can I expect to receive such negative emails once I, too, have my site fully up and running? I guess my question is whether or not that is normal? Either way, I am really sorry you have experienced this. I would feel simply awful if someone approached me that way.

If it hadn't landed in my spam folder it would have been marked as spam by me after reading the first line and I'd be none the wiser but the world would keep turning.

Seriously Paul M is right, delete it and don't give it another thought :)

Respond to this and they'll definitely grow even bolder.
This is the equivalent of spam calls pinging random numbers to check which are actually real and in use so they can spam them further.

If you have recently received a spam message, or email, mentioning TruLife, please contact us immediately as an investigation is underway.
Dont contact them under that pretense either. Fraudsters also pull that card to imply theyre trustworthy.
