Porn Referrers

Every now and then, a bunch of sites like that pop-up in my referrer analytics, it's kind of amusing lol
I wonder if people advertise their sites by putting them in the referrer header of their bots.

You can disavow those links through search console in the event you think they are negatively affecting you.

I don't think they're linking to me, I just find it funny how they keep popping up in the control panel lol

Did you look to see if they were? I recently went through most of my backlinks while using SEMrush and found the weirdest stuff. Very raunchy stuff about young girls doing "things" and linking to my site with that...I believe google has a good idea of what's bs and what isn't but I didn't want to take any chances with it so I disavowed about 2,000 links iirc. Whatever the max is, I did it lol I've accumulated a ton of links over the years...I wonder what the point of all the link spam is.

I'm not putting my email into a suspicious site.
I would create a disposable one, but they seem to have a blacklist for that.

Google Webmaster Tools aren't reporting any suspicious incoming links.

At best, they'll sell your personal data to advertisors or spam networks.

I'll keep track of the backlinks through a few avenues, but yeah, I don't trust Semrush.
It's bad enough that they have ignorant bots accidentally taking out all sorts of sites from the sheer number of requests.

This is the first I'm hearing anything bad about SEMrush. Where are you getting your information from? And it does more than just view the backlinks.....but you obviously know all so I'm curious as to what you know about SEMrush that many of us in the big board section don't know about.

It's all over these forums. SemrushBot hammering away at sites and draining their resources in a very ignorant way which many bots don't. People should be charging them for that, not the other way around.

All to build up their little "backlink catalogue".

Take a random look around TAZ sometime or maybe Google it...



Anyway. I've said what I've said, I've casually poked around a bunch of checkers anyway.
