What do you guys give to members for paid subscriptions? I`m trying to decide if I should offer them on the site I am creating.

Access to a subscriber-only forum, which has exclusive content. On top of that they get a special rank image, more PM and attachment space etc etc.

-A coloured rank
-Custom title abilities
-More PM storage
-Less limit on avatar and signature size and space consumption
-Ability to lock/unlock own threads
-Ability to delete own posts
-Ability to remove "Edited By..."
and -Preference when applying for staff (if applicable)

Preference when applying for staff
Ugh, that one makes me shudder when I even think about it. Why would you give someone who wasn't as suitable for the job any kind of preference over a far more suitable candidate who for whatever reason doesn't have the disposable income to donate?

Same here- it is essentially someone buying into the position to an extent

As one of my members said, "Paying for a membership upgrade in no way entitles or denotes responsibility or maturity."

I think this applies to everything like being put in line for moderation and anything else where a persons financial standing is mutually exclusive from their need to be moderated.

Some of our most supportive (financially) members are the ones that we have to keep our moderation eyes on the most.
