Very sad that i never shared this experience with you guys on here, i visited the big USA last year in september and stayed at disney for 10 days and it is by far one of my favorite experiences.

Im usually one to enjoy really relaxed holidays and i wasnt too sure if i would enjoy going to disney due to the fact it being so god damn busy. However it was super amazing and i would go back again. If not to disney most definitely the country. The staff and people around where the most friendly people ive ever met being on holiday.

Here are a few pictures of the trip, i was always in amazment of everything i saw. The only thing i hated was the plane journey which was 8-9 hours to get out to florida from the UK but other than that everything was amazing. I did however crave british food, and tried to get some at epot (the old famous fish and chips, it was pretty decent) and i had toad in the hole at harry potter world but that defo wasnt the british version XD. Hard rock cafe was just amazing.... i cant express enough how much i enjoy my time out there even if i was sweltering every day haha.

I met a few characters, didnt have pics with many and my photos with some didnt actually come through to my account which was disappointing. We spent most days out and busy, visited every park, including 1 water park, universal and freight night.

Enjoy the pictures... someone take me back (oh it was just me and my pal that went) ill let my pictures do the talking to how much i enjoyed it, i wont go to crazy i took over 500 picture haha.

Count me as one of those grown-to-like Disney World fans. I'm not a huge fan of crowds nor was I that big of a fan of amusement rides.

However, my wife loves Disney. We are, of course, a little closer and in decent driving range. Disney does the park better than anyone, and you get what you pay for even if you really pay for it. We were scheduled to go later this year with friends - and their kids are going for the first time ever - but we are not too far from COVID-19 postponing those plans for quite a while.

I am glad that you found everyone nice on our side! We've generally found staff to be great people, with a few unhappy folks mixed in. I recall the first time that I went with my kids, our brand new stroller decided to break right off the bat. A custodian at Disney pulled her cart over to block foot traffic while I did a quick repair and got out of the way. I love that kind of effort and appreciate it as a customer. I also appreciate it from the company perspective as in so many places, the person would be worried or concerned about their cleaning duties to be able to step out of their role and assist.

It's definitely a busy time, but the one thing I've found as an adult is that it's a great release to get your mind off of things. It's fun to watch your kids, but it's also fun as an adult!

Nice to know some of the food is at least authentic enough. My one gripe with Disney is that a lot of the food is average. Not bad, but not great.

So glad you had a good holiday!

I made a similar trip from the UK in the 70s and it was great. Roll on 30 or so years and I took my daughter to Disney World, Paris. Never again! It was a totally different experience.

Food poisoning, a lost child due to the massive crowds, two hour queues, oversubscribed filthy on-site restaurants, rancid accommodation and I'm convinced they shipped over the 70's Florida rides from the US and dumped them down in the 00's Paris, France. What was entertaining, even exciting in the 70's really didn't cut it 30 years later plus I don't think the French really like us Brits!

I absolutely love Walt Disney World, and will be getting married down there...sometime if the current situation changes.
I do enjoy Epcot food - the fish and chips are delightful with the vinegar. So much fun and great food. I hope to visit the other parks sooner than later.

Looks great! It's my dream to visit DisneyWorld Florida. Actually I was planning to go to USA this summer with my family but due to the ban on flights from Europe I am not sure I will be able to do it this year even. So only I can do is just stay in my property in Cyprus and enjoy summer days here. Not a bad place anyway!
