I'm working on a Wordpress project at the moment and have run into a bit of an issue. The site has a music player that's always on-top --- The .mp3 uploads obviously go to /wp-content/uploads/song.mp3 --- The url shows in the sourcecode and files can be downloaded. What I'm trying to do is to make it difficult for folks to find the actual .mp3 url. Or even encrypt the url would be nice.
There's an interesting conversation at http://support.jwplayer.com/custome...-can-i-protect-my-mp3s-from-being-downloaded-
One poster says, "So, how do we keep the location of the playlist and/or the mp3s RELATIVELY secret, obfuscated, or really hard to get to in a simple easy way? Its not about stopping the assholes, its about keeping the HONEST people honest..."
That's what I'm trying to accomplish: find a solution to hide the location of the audio files but making it playable in the player? Even a script that could hide the entire WP sourcecode would be nice if there's no other solution. Can anyone share a method?
