- I would be looking for something either American, British or Canadian owned
- Someplace that has a music scene
- Gothic would be great but not necessary
- Political discussion don't mind that
- Trivia or games are also fine
- Off topic threads
- I enjoy gaming & movies

Here is a tip. It can help you find communities pretty quickly. If you go to google.com and type, "forum: examplehere" Google will display communities for the query you requested. 
I'd recommend ChatBanter that has pretty much all the above.

I was going to suggest a highway that connects all forums with one app with news & for sales, upcoming forums, what's trending, new forums, specialist forums like aliens I guess
The app advertises all forums, all forums advertise the app would be step one
If this is all there is then maybe it is to late, nothing with say 500+ users around at all...
