I foresee a future for television where you are able to become interactive with other viewers and even the program its self.

a toggle for live feeds of comments from viewing parties ... imaging watching game of thrones with live comments.. here is the thing you can select the source of the comment feed... maybe they come from a network of super serious GOT EXPERTS OF LORE or maybe you pick comments to be served from LAUGH HOUSE which is some improv community holding a viewing party of their own

another aspect is the ability to toggle broadcasters on live sports you can pick between booth broadcasters or third parties ... or even live feed from the coach or players who are mic’d up

how about when watching the news you can instantly push your comments onto the screen in a public fashion? imagine that

privacy will soon be void in our society that may not be a bad thing

how about a speed dating channel where local singles parade themselves like a dog show

imagine the future of porn

Well this is already here, in a basic fashion. Shows that are live and react/read out tweets as the show is being broadcast.
But it still needs to be moderated (and I assume it currently is).

It's already here. It's pretty much exactly how Twitch Streaming, YouTube Streaming, Facebook Live, Instagram Live all work and people love it.

I can't get over how much people donate on live streams too! Just have their voice or message heard above all the other live chat.

Sadly, I can easily imagine all of that -- most of which happens now. That's why I don't watch TV. I'm sure it would be a huge hit. They can run some vacuous episode of any current show and people will flock to read the running list of every stupid thought that viewers output -- assuming anyone watching can read.

I like to imagine a future where shows are written for audiences with IQs above the average hamster.

I like to image a future where reality TV means science and information designed to inform and enlighten, not scripted stupidity by wannabe actors.

What I do kind of like is the services now where you can start watching a YouTube video or Netflix episode at the same time as a friend in another location. Then you can watch it together.

The beginning stages of Interactive TV are already here. They have live voting for the singing competitions.

You watched the Black Mirror episode Bandersnatch on Netflix?

It's a choose your own adventure where you get presented with options throughout the show, like the old book format. Not super interactive, but kind of interesting as a concept and a fun to try.

seen it, was pleased concept can be further implemented
