I've bought some macbooks in the past and had the insurance and it sure came in handy with spills... latest laptop here is a surface and, someone's coke at a coffee shop went over it and the keyboard was sticky a day later making those clicky sticky noises... anyone have a take on lapop insurance, if you make a claim is it from house or from Best Buy or Microsoft insurance or even Apple Care you use?
worth t?

I just had a bad BIOS update that killed my system board. If I hadn't had Dell coverage, the computer would probably still be a brick. I also replaced my $400 LCD screen once when I line appeared on it so I think I got my money's worth.

Apple Care is a solid insurance. A colleague of mine said that you probably won't need one though, because you usually don't drop actual computers as regularly as you do with a smartphone.

I wouldn't buy insurance on a laptop under 7-800 dollars.
I wouldn't buy a laptop that even cost that much though honestly..lol
I don't need a mobile "gaming rig" though, I can get by with everything I need for 400 tops.

Laptops are cheap these days.
