What do you guys do for July 4th?

I used to go and watch the fireworks...I know a lot of people don't celebrate it...

It's the 4th today! So Happy 4th of July, everyone!

Not much. We really don’t care for fireworks, upsets our cats and dogs. It’s extremely stressful for them.

I don't do anything special, as it's just another day. July 1st, on the other hand, is Canada Day with lots of events, concerts, etc. across the country, culminating in fireworks displays. Very little of that happened this year because of the plague restrictions. But July 1st is also my sister's birthday, so at least there was cake.

Nothing here. Canada Day though we had a small family type thing. I did notice some mboards putting silly fireworks effects on their sites - which reminded me of the early days of the internet.

My husband usually grills, and I spend the entire night managing my dogs' anxiety because they spend most of it running around from room to room in abject panic.
