How can I make a bbpress.css theme ?

Due to the lack of just bbpress theme,
I want to create a bbpress css theme taking design elements from others, how hard would it be for someone with only basic css knowledge ?

Or would it be possible to clone a bbpress theme, just the bbpress area. would that be allowed?
