I find this fascinating. After 20 years of hacking we are finally at a point where you actually can make a real consistent "layout" of a website.

Better late than never I guess. CSS was supposed to move us away from table based layouts, making it easy to create those types of layouts in a simple(ish) way. From the looks of this, we finally might have it.

CSS was never meant to move us anywhere, merely to divorce content from presentation. Except it never provided the tools to do the job as fully as we wanted because it was always thought to be a document, everything is a document, applications as web pages weren't even supposed to be a thing.
