Hello,

I would like to know what color combinations you like, prefer or think is most liked by people visiting a community.

For example what colors, how many colors do you think is accepted to have, what type of colors should dominate the design and what color should complement it.

Thanks

You could ask this to 100 different people and get about 40 different answers.

TBH, colors like this site are good, but it is also going to depend on what the target audience is of the site owner.

If you are creating styles for sale, I would do different color variations so customers can choose between them, and not only be stuck with one choice. ;)

True, however there are colors that you just should not use because of how it looks on the site and how people because of that react to the community.

Then there are color combinations that the majority of people accept. For example the combinations of TAZ. It looks clean.

For the online casino that I'm working with what we usually do for the blogsites and landing pages design is we depend the color on the colors that we see in their flag. So far it works, its creating a brand.

Thats a good idea, however when you're starting with nothing it's hard to base your color of something, e.g a flag. But I understand the possibility to gain inspiration from our environment.

Blue and green should never been seen without something in between ;)

I once guest blogged for someone and covered the different reasons why people choose certain colors for their websites. I'm not quite sure if we're allowed to link on posts so I will just state my thoughts without doing so. :) Blues are very popular in my opinion because it represents credibility, power, loyalty, calmness, etc. I've read somewhere once that the ideal color combination is blue and green because it triggers emotions that compliment each other.
