Just a heads up for Centmin Mod LEMP stack users or CentOS users if they have issues with yum updates, it maybe related to EPEL DNS issues with some public dns servers like Google 8.8.8.8. Workaround at https://community.centminmod.com/threads/september-6th-2017-epel-yum-repo-dns-issues.12786/

Interesting.

I had to disable a couple of EPEL (C6) repos today because they were failing, blocking the updates I was making.

Internet is a fun place where we take for granted that DNS servers should work 24/7

Looks like they have messed up the dns for fedoraproject.org

Run it through a dns checker and it has some disturbing issues.



No glue records is the killer, since the nameservers are on the same domain.
Its eventually going to fail (and thats probably whats happened with the Google dns servers already).

yeah my check domains script shows they did update dns today so somehow maybe messed up ?
