Best bang for the buck newsletter platform

We've used Constant Contact and Mailchimp for organizing and sending newsletters in the past but have been thinking of something more affordable.

We have about 20,000 emails in our database. When we rebuild on a new platform, we may have closer to 30,000.

We have also used Sendy, which is more affordable but doesn't have the features that we liked in Mailchimp and found it to be a bit cumbersome.

What other options are there that give you the best bang for the buck?

This list on HubSpot is interesting.

I'm interested in hearing about the experiences from various options.

I would have to talk to our IT guy, but I believe the version of Sendy we use is something that we do send from our server.
I'll take a look at this source.

Ideally we want to create the news letter in the same program that we send it.
My husband and business partner is also on here and may have some insights I don't.
