Automatically running the Xenforo 2.x cron jobs via cPanel Cron Jobs?

So on my old vBulletin site I could force the scheduled tasks to run by running a cron job from my host's cPanel account... Something like:

Code:
wget -q -O /dev/null "https://www.domain.com/forum/index.php" > /dev/null 2>&1
Would this still work for XenForo 2.x? I mean it opens up a web browser basically on the server and loads the page every 5 minutes, that should count as traffic and trigger the scheduled tasks AKA cron jobs, right? Or am I missing something?

Curious if anyone else does it this way? For times when there may not be enough traffic to trigger tasks on a regular basis...

I thought I read that job.php couldn't be called directly, it had to be called with a xf session already open?

Thank you for the mod link, I will check it out. :)

XF's job.php is designed to be called independently, and doesn't even load the session data for any session cookies (the 'visitor' user is always guest). Running it via cron or similar just works fine.
