Red was too aggressive. After doing a lot of research into brand colour, purple was a better choice.

I came across a website called VampireFreaks when I was about 14-15 and quite liked how both words rolled off the tongue, so got the idea "Freak" from that and then "Joy" was short for joystick. I actually purchased JoyFreak.com back in 2007 and was a MMO/MMORPG forums before letting it go, then a Chinese company took hold of it and only about two years ago I was lucky to purchase it again!

Which forum software have you used on your own websites or ones you managed before?
And which would you pick for a new one, if the most popular ones today arent an option?

I've used vB3, vB4 and vB5. Dabbled with SMF, phpBB, Woltlab etc. But I've always been drawn to XenForo and pursued it in the longer run.

I'd probably use Woltlab if the popular ones aren't an option. It looks proper slick!

JoyFreak1 Good, we can continue onto the path of friend from this point forward. Otherwise that would have been a deal breaker lol
My wife puts milk in first... I'm baffled by it. She asked me to get her cereal one time with her method and she ended up with way too much cereal because I couldn't judge the ratio's :D.

As for Joyfreak, any ideas for new forums outside your JoyFreak?

Yeah, not sure how people do it lol.

None. I did want to want to run a pornsite/sexual health site but running JoyFreak is more than enough for me. (For now)

How much revenue have you generated from Forums?
Don't wish to disclose.
