So I am thinking about creating a big project about art.
My website will contain poetry, prose, PDF books (without infringing copyright), paintings, music, buildings...

In short: Content about tangible cultural heritage, movable cultural property and immovable cultural property with pictures, location, history etc.

My question is: Do I really need to make it serious with legal pages, intellectual property (logo, custom icons etc.)

Every site that I've found is very simple: list of artists, their works. That's it.

I want to make my site credible and in the future to be used as a source.

Yes. Any time you're dealing with stuff that isn't yours (especially if users can submit things) you need to make sure you are legally covered.
