I'm not a dog person, so I don't know which of them is correct.

I'm a cat person.
My cat don't give two ****s about rules, boundaries and limitations.

Positive reinforcement invariably means treats. You shouldn't have a treat-driven dog.

My dogs are pretty spoiled - I sorta treat them like they're Mama's babies - which they are = only Mama's furbabies

Yeah - say that if one of them ever scratches the living **** out of you.
I obviously much more a dog person - but I love the cats too. In fact - I just recently adopted 2 cats. They need rules, boundaries and limitations too.
For instance - Mini Kitty plays a bit rough. She bites and scratches...in play. Or she USED to bite and scratch. I'm teaching her that it's not okay to scratch and bite so hard. She'll learn. But yeah. You must have an interesting cat VICE

Hmmmm. You know what's funny. When I was a kid - I loved cats so much - but I was allergic. So we didn't have many cats when I was growing up.

I initially agreed to take Mini and Precious on a temporary basis because my brother (ironically the one who's into dog fighting) had fallen on a bit of financial hard times and had more important things to do with his money than taking care of a couple cats.. Long-story short .... The cats don't bother my allergies as they did when I was younger - so they're now mine.

Years ago - I roommated with a chick who had several cats. Those cats would claw you to death if you let them. But it's only their play.
If you don't want to be clawed to death - what you do is what you do with any animal you're hoping to domesticate: you instill rules, boundaries and limitations.

As far as my furbabies owning me??? Yeah. That's probably true

Cats don't have owners, let alone masters.
If they do something for you, that's merely a compromise.



Dogs have Masters.
Cats have Staff.

LOL! I suppose it's a good thing we don't have 50-60 pound cats as (domesticated? is it even possible hahaha) house pets.
Everyone would likely be clawed to pieces and bleed out, nothing we could do - because we don't own our cats...?
The debate then becomes 60 pound cat - or 60 pound dog?
Sorry - I'm taking my chances with the pitbull everyday of the week

I like cats too, I'd have a mountain lion for a pet if they didn't pee on and tear up everything in the house.

Yeah I think if there was a 60 pound cat, I'd rather take my chances with a pitbull

My BSH/Maine Coon cross is coming up on 20 pound and he's temperamental enough!

I have a pair of Maine Coons to. Both are only about 6 months old in the picture. They are gonna be monsters.


As far as pit bulls go there's barely a breed i would trust more to protect my children from non human danger.. Recent breeding trends have changed the pitbull demeanor a bit.. But

Pit bulls are probably exaggerated by the media by saying there unsafe.
But frankly I don't trust them and scared to death of them.
My sisters pit bull bit me right on my nose. And the dog has growled at me numerous times.
I won't go near her pit bull now.

If only we thought that same way about human beings, right? Since humans kill more humans than pit bulls do. We even make bombs that can annihilate large cities and fill the environment with radiation for years to come yet we continue to associate with other humans but we discriminate against a specific breed of dogs lol. Humans..LOL

While i respect your position and understand fearing a mouth full of sharp teeth. the owner failed the dog and the owner is responsible for properly bringing up a powerful breed such as a Pit Bull. Bad things inevitably happen when people dont take properly raising their dogs seriously.

Plus dogs can sense fear really well. People that are afraid of dogs tend to make the dog uneasy. Hence why they growl and snarl.
