Wow, AdminZone has the best post-bit I've seen for XenForo

Hey Fellas,

How did you guys actually get the post-bit to look like that with the images? I gotta say that is pretty sharp and I would love to use something similar on a XenForo project I am putting together. Any chance you guys are willing to share the code?

Regards,
Michael

I will bookmark their site now. Looks like I'll have to sort through their premade skins to see what has this type of feature. Thanks Poet!

You're quite welcome. And like Sheldon said - You can accomplish the same without the need for PixelExit's framework.
A bit of .css & .html coding knowledge, as well as a familarity with XF templating/conditionals/etc... is all you need to easily modify your postbit styling.

Thanks Sheldon care to share a bit more in terms of details? ;)

Yes Poet, but sadly my knowledge is limited to tweaks here or there or finding code and dropping it in to places that it looks good. Coming up with something from scratch? Different story altogether!

Ahhh okay!!! Yes, I see they have this stuff as part of their framework system. I'm still learning about XenForo and coming from SMF so trying to figure out what I can and can not do before I pay licensing costs and migrate over.

Many of these are done without conditionals, so not sure what Jacquii is talking about. The one here doesn't have them either. Many are just CSS with minimal template editing.

I'm talking out of my ass.. Hoping someone (or nobody for that matter) will not flame me for it. Apparently my hope is misplaced..

Great job on the customization though - Perhaps you'll share a how-to instead of pictures-only with no means of mimicking what you've done.
TAZ Resources and/or Articles is waiting for your how-to of enlightenment. Thanks.

I do share, with verified licensed members (that is the reason for the pictures only) of XF only.
Good for you.
Your integrity as concerns XF licensing is flawless. Carry on.

Woah people LOL simmer down!!! I'm just a barely web-savvy fireman tryin to spruce up a video game website, in my spare time, and convert from SMF to XenForo.

If someone would be so kind is to kinda share the info that would be great! If not I will plod along and find some way to figure it out!

No need for sass ;)

As for licensed XenForo? Not yet. MechSpecs.com is still running SMF and will until I wrap my head around what all I can do with which skins and how much its all going to set my back. One time cap-ex I don't mind. Putting someone else's kid through college? Not gonna happen :)

No sass from me, just showing what can be achieved with a little creativity.

I don't have an issue telling people who own XF how to achieve a certain look, as I have done it countless times.

Not sure what the other comments are about, I suppose an attempt to get a rise, per the usual. Who knows, who cares.

Well I will bookmark this site and when we get our act together and grab a licensed copy of XenForo I will come back here and post about it. Gonna look around for a skin similar to this as its not too wide, not too narrow, not too gimicky... I'm digging it!

All sass from me.
TAZ without a little sass every now and then is a misnomer and does not exist.
That being said - I do wonder if our integrified friend will be so kind as to PM me (as a legitimate XF license holder) the code to those marvelous postbit revisions. Anyway... Moving on. Was just trying to offer assistance to you MichaelCS and we see what happened. As per usual.
Best of luck with your forum though. Hope you get an XF license - it's a GREAT script and definitely a step-up from SMF ;)

Thanks all! Im gonna see if I can find this skin and then do some major color and background rework on it. This one is pretty well close to ideal for a basis to work off of. Time to go through all their skins and see!
