Yeah, I noticed, and it doesn't really belong in this thread since it's a new forum. If you want to advertise your site then put the link in your sig, don't try sneaking it into a discussion about active forums when it only has 12 posts.

And that one's really impressive. I'm guessing that most of these probably started out on InvisionFree and converted to ZetaBoards later on though.

I am amazed that people running free forums are actually serious. May be it is because they run in more because of passion or fame.

I agree with you Dilip. I'm not sure why anyone would want to host a forum which they have no rights to... Or am I missing something?

The WalkingDead forum has a lot of potential, considering the shows vastly HUGE audience. Why would you host it on a free platform when you could host it on your own server, and make some decent advertising dollars doing it?!

The owner of that forum is known on ZetaBoards for being one of Zathyus Network's more prominent and well known theme authors. Valentino who owns WATWD is also known as Sarah at ZN.

So since she's worked with it for so long, I don't see why she would create a forum with anything else.

Considering you can pay a fee to get your database from ZetaBoards, YES you do OWN the forum. Some people just want to run their forums and focus on their FORUMS, not any server backend crap (like myself) Which is why ZetaBoards is such a great option. Not to mention it's theme and code creators do excellent work, as mentioned, Sarah is one of THE BEST theme creators on the ZB network, and personally of all time IMO. I haven't seen themes of her calibur on any other forum platform especially at the prices she charges for her custom work!
