Zombie survival forums?

Okay, can somebody explain to me how these forums work? Is it just a bit of fun or do the members and staff actually believe that there will be a zombie apocalypse? I know it sounds like a stupid question but ive seen a few forums take it ridiculously seriously. Im confuzzled

I honestly think it's a bit of both. Some believe it, some just have them for fun. At least, I think some are just for fun. Could of course be wrong.

It's mostly like the vampire,werewolf, ghost forums you get. People believe in it and some just love the idea of it. It's just like any fan forum.

i'm pretty sure the members actually believe in this kind of thing. i've read a few topics on boards like those, they actually have survival kits. like food, weapons, that they keep in the trunk of their car.

I have had a few posts/threads on my auto forum and some of the younger members actually buy into it. Leaves me scratching my head trying to figure out how otherwise rational and intelligent posters can actually believe in that stuff.

I would, but I just know that my plans will be foiled by those meddling kids and their pesky dog so I won't bother going through the trouble.

I'll admit right now that I'm the one who pretended to be the swamp monster in order to get that radio show canceled so I could dig up the gold and diamonds from under the farmer's basement.
