As a forum migration service, we do lots of migrations and always check the news in forum world.
The last major news is the new wpForo 2 major release. They have done a really great job!

I like the new forum layouts which come built-in with wpForo plugin (classic forum layout, simplified, threaded and Q&A):
One of the forum layouts is a Q&A layout, so you can create different type of forums in the one forum using different forum layouts, the Q&A ayout can be used for support forums:
I like the top background images of categories:
I like the new profile system:
I like the topic overview with quick tree of the whole thread
