I remember a few of those, but probably from XF.com or here. I was never active on VB.com/.org.

I recognize the majority in that list. I also see a senior member of vBulletin's management looking in on the forum. That's one indication of why vB3 was at the time the pinnacle of forum software while the current version, vB5 has yet to crawl out from under its rock.

Sadly, I also see one member who is no longer with us

You know I think that style is almost coming back into fashion. It's wonderfully in your face after all the minimalism we've suffered ;) LOL.

You should've had the maroon user name to be marked as an IPS rep.

I wasn't with IPS at that time, actually. At that time, I had already left MyBB and was working on the never released ImperialBB, which I worked on for a few years before finally joining IPS in January 2011.

EDIT: In fact, this screenshot was probably taken in 2009. vB4 was still in development and Ray Morgan was appointed as general manager that year (incidentally also in January).

Oh hey, I remember that site. Felt like there was a new admin forum like this every few months or so back then.

vB3 was a great piece of software for sure. I'm not sure it aged so well with the new devices and browsers we use to access sites anymore.
It aged wonderfully but the lack of a built in mobile theme is noticable for sure.

The ones that I remember as being respectable/useful besides TAZ were AdminFusion and this one, AdminAddict. I think the latter two were mostly TAZ refugees that got hit with the very frequent ban hammer that The Sandman used to wield.
