Added An Embed Only Video Gallery

Yeah, only Apple stuff unfortunately, because it uses Apple's HEVC compression codec. It needs transcoding to a more compatible format if all your users are to be able to play it, otherwise it just appears broken.

Its not "Apple's" HEVC, Apple supports it but Google has been very resistant to using it because they own VP9 and firefox is nervous about patents but its the standard used on 4k stuff.

I was at first pondering what the big deal was about an embed only gallery... and then I find out tonight that IPS Gallery doesn't allow video embeds as a gallery item. There's a "videos" add-on but, nope, no stock functionality for it. {bangs head on desk}

Wondering what pushed you towards Mike John's addon vs the VideoBox addon?
Any particular reason?
Both seem similar in popularity & updates. I do use another Mike John addon, and like his work.

Any insight on why you picked what you did?

Well I wish I could tell you something fancy like it was the coding architecture but really I didn’t know there was another option but we really like the one we have

A shot in the dark, but maybe he's just a fan of Abe Lincoln?

I hear he was a fan of the theatre, well, up until that last show he saw at least.

I can personally attest that I've used (and actively use) applications from both mike John and ONLYME, and they're both two of the most well-respected developers in the IPS Marketplace community. When I prepare my Marketplace Black Friday, they are two of the leading developers from whom I get buy-in before I solicit anyone else. They've both been around the IPS world for years and years, probably going on 10 years.

Mike John - more stable, less features, fast bug fixes, English-speaking
onlyME - lots of features, tends to break more, superfast bug fixes, Vietnamese-speaking but English is more than sufficient

Yeah, it's been a missing feature there that XF has had for a long time. I'm glad I have in my XF forums, wish it was there in my one Invision forum.
