Upcoming Facebook Changes

This was linked from a Facebook page I follow. I do not find it credible. I have read both the summary and the Google Doc. It is now past July 31 and none of the changes indicated have come to pass. None of them are reflected in the Terms of Service and none of them have been covered in the media.

What corroboration do we have for this? Without it why should we believe that it is true?

Hate to say it but TKLLmod could be right. Searched around for various keyphrases from the original post and every single website talking about this topic refers back to THIS THREAD as the primary source.

Yeah I have found nothing outside of this thread besides people linking back to it and talking about the points from this thread. I would need some solid backup.

I'm curious how large cause I'm a mod in a much larger group and honestly I do most of it myself.

We have 16 people on our mod and admin team. Mostly just to cover the various timezones and also because we have to watch out for inappropriate comments more than the average group might have to.

There is a video of the talk by Zuckerberg from which the info was transcribed. Let me track back (it's posted in an FB group - and we all know how wonderful it is to search through those) and see if there's some way I can get it on here.

We have several admin that do nothing at all the others will just approve members as a group and not go thru and check any so fake profiles and people that have us blocked get in. I however go thru and block those when I'm doing it. They say we will catch them later lol to me my way is better and easier.

I just wonder if fb will take issue with it at some point.

Sounds like you have Admins who don't understand their role. Admins who just approve members without any verification is actually *worse* than leaving people in the queue for a few more hours.

Agree I've tried to talk about it but I'm just shut down. The one that runs it says I've been doing this a,long time I know what I'm doing. I'm like me too but whatever thanks for the reply
