Isn't that kinda puritanical in a Increasily Liberal society? At least one step in the right direction. Everyone else should do the same. Porn is immoral.
Good Wired article which covers a point I made earlier, about who censors the net and what we see (and the power Apple for example have over this, with their AppStore):
https://www.wired.com/story/tumblrs-porn-ban-reveals-controls-we-see-online/
And Vox claims to quote insiders who say that it's all about adverts and revenue (isn't it always?):
"but the real problem was always that Verizon couldn’t sell ads next to porn."
Tumblr is finally growing up. To be honest, whether or not you enjoy or participate in adult content, it's surprising that adult content was allowed to exist for such a long time as a major social media network.
Yeah I heard about this too. Not sure what motivated the change. Personally, I never used Tumblr, so it's no loss for me....
Well i belong to a fandom that posts on it,so in a way. I feel betrayed.
Your statement seems to apply to all porn, which has been around for 100's of years and no one seems to be harmed by it.
hehe But my point stands.I think you've missed a few noughts It can be seen in cave paintings and artefacts dating back to the Palaeolithic and Mesolithic eras.
