Was there a recent change to the forum? I can't seem to mark forums read using the navbar link.

A single forum(subforum, node)? It's not available in XF1

I've never discovered it in XF1, it's hidden in Mark Forums Read.
In XF2 it's simple.

When I was on this morning it wasn't there. Perhaps it is my desktop browser that was acting up, as I have no issue now on my laptop. It show initially but then slipped away and was replaced by the "Watched Forums".

You've just blown your cover lol. Rum and Ginger Wine - now that reaches parts others can't reach! Hic!

It's probably not the case but ad-blockers have been known to emulate the effects caused by a skin full of rum and ginger wine so if you have one it might be worth turning it off.

We have the "Mark as read" option in xf, but do i really miss in xf is "mark as unread" for threads and conversations.

come back a couple days later and it says 785 new posts

click new posts and see 10 new posts

What does that mean?

Yes there are quite a few new posts every day. I'm sure that makes TAZ quite happy.

Note that this registers number of posts, not new threads.

i have tested this an it must be counting rss feeds in the articles and other tabs because its said many many new posts before after i have reset it and there was no where near the number it said

Well I don't know what you're doing... that doesn't happen for me.

I can't replicate it either. The new post count is 100% accurate for me and has been for quite a while. There was a bug that left a phantom +1 which I think was related to an admin action but that was fixed a long time ago.

I can't imagine what might be causing the problem but I don't think it's anything server side or we have had other reports.
