Anime is "a style of animation developed in Japan, characterized by stylized colorful art", with manga simply being the still comic book version of this art form.

With just under ten thousand posts, Anime Gerad is one of the most appealing Anime/Manga related small forums with four hundred and forty one members and a friendly community. The demographics of the website are mostly males, although there are also a number of females, between the ages of 13 and 20.

Anime Gerad is owned by Jura who is a member here at TAZ. Founding the website in May 2006, Jura chose Invision Power Board and Wordpress as the software, expanding this later with the addition of IP Gallery, blogs, downloads, and default avatars.

Being a member of a forum was Jura's first online experience and it was this that eventually led him to the decision to go try to create the interactive environment which became Anime Gerad.

Jura feels that the biggest obstacle to running and starting the forum has been dishonest and hostile forum administrators who will happily steal content, troll forums, and even use DDOS attacks against his site. Another major problem, he says, is simply the number of competing Anime/Manga forums.

His staff consists of two other administrators, as well as one global moderator and one forum moderator. The team's dedication and commitment is evident with frequent injections of fresh content and a gentle moderation style.

The forum's absolutely gorgeous skin is definitely an eye-grabber and is the focal point of one's first impression the forum. The most popular sections on Anime Gerad are the themed video gaming and light posting areas. Currently, the team are planning to match the theme of the blog to the amazing forum theme to expand the branding of the site.
