Post counts
I've got VB3 and I'm just wondering if there's anything you can do to prevent members' post counts going down whenever the threads/posts are deleted of the discussions they participated in?

Don't delete, move and split threads to a special hidden forum and allow the post count in there to count.

It's aways a good idea to save stuff like that for reference anyway.

I like to prune old threads: those which are 2 years old and no one ever looks at any more. I wouldn't want to store everything so that members' post counts don't go down. Post counts going down doesn't especially bother me but it does to a number of members who seem to worship theirs and complain when it goes down .

I don't think there's any solution for this.

Members that judge themselves and others by post count have been trouble makers in my past... I hate when someone challenges another with the likes of, this is your 10th post, how can you be an expert, or that crap. It's not cool at all IMO.
