Would someone mind explaining to me something about the vBulletin Owned License?

It says 1-2: $160 each; 3-5: $148 each and so on….

So the 1-2 is that 1 or 2 completely separate software packages for separate forums? Or does it have something to do with backups, or increased capacity? What exactly does the quantity mean?

Thanks for your patience with the new guy…

They're completely seperate. The intent is if you're planning to open up more than 1 site.

If you purchase up to 2 licences they're $160 each.

If you were to purchase a 3rd licence at a later date you would only pay $148 for it.

vBulletin - £87 I think.
Hosting - £60 a month... that's because I owned a server and put my forum on it.
Domain - £5.50 for the domain name.

Just for it all to be hacked oh well... I'll be setting up new vBulletin boards tomorrow hopefully

$18 for my domain

$160 for VBulletin owned license (well worth it!)

$18 a month for hosting

I feel it’s worth every cent and would pay twice that no problem.

I **think** what he means he values time with them to be worth a certain amount, like say $50 an hour. And that, times the number of hours is how he figures it out.

Let's see...I invested at least $1,500 in globalpaw for all sorts of programs, servers...etc.

I've learned to be a bit more frugal...

My two new forums (as I sold globalpaw) are running me about $200 each to start. That includes vB, a couple programs, hosting, domains, etc.

New forum working on now and heres whats been spent so far

Forum Software - Phpbb - Free
Hosting - Good Hosting, 200GB bandwidth, 200MB Storage - Free

Basically all I want to add is a domain, if it ever gets successful i'd hope to make a bit out of it and put it back into hosting.

I plan on getting a domain name at £3 a year because our URL is a tad difficult to remember

$149 - IPB Lifetime

$42 - Skin

We raised $159 through the community after the IPB 1.2 we refused to upgrade finally died and was incapable of repair.

Right now, we've only paid $10 and that was to renew our domain.
Other than that, nothin.

I've invested $75 to get all 3 of my websites started.

$15 - The first months hosting
$30 - 3 domains (they were only $9.99 when I bought them, they cost $12 now?)
$20 - To a designer for a logo that I was too lazy to make myself
$10 - mybbcentral.com subscription for a few choice mods.
