Using GoDaddy?

Currently I'm using GoDaddy for my server, me and my members are having issues with server errors, is it just me, or is GoDaddy not recomended for server space for a bulletin board?

We are looking to move our board because of the complaints.

Any suggestions?

GoDaddy is great for static sites and things that aren't tremendously important but beyond that I would suggest HostGator for any sort of real forum and then you can eventually upgrade to a Semi-Dedicated or VPS as needed either with HG or another company.

Go daddy is reliable domain name registrar which offers hosting services, so I would better choose reliable web hosting provider. As for recommendation, have a look at glowhost.com as it offers nice vBulletin hosting plans.
I think you will make the right decision to choose them.

From what I have read GoDaddy is really lacking when it comes to Web Hosting. I have read a lot about errors with their servers. I know for a fact their support is terrible.

It's not everyday I recommend a host but I would recommend you go with mddhosting (2nd post) because I have read some good reviews about them.

Thanks guys. Yes, I have had a lot of issues with GoDaddy, a lot of the members have stopped complaining about it, we've explained to them it's out of our hands until we find a better server.

Go with liquidweb, visit webhostingtalk.com and search for discounts. They almost always have a special VPS discount over there.

godaddy is good in domains. hostings is super slow. check some quality host, shopaserver is one of the cheap and host as well

See, I have GoDaddy and have had zero issues with them. This may be because my board is somewhat small...

Have any of you personally received any errors? If so, what were the errors?

The problem with godaddy is as described above and then some. They are a great domain registrar, however when it comes to web hosting and everything else they are hit and miss. They have been known in the past to pack their servers to the breaking point and oversell their services. As mentioned previously, Hostgator and Liquidweb are excellent providers.

My friend uses GoDaddy, they are not user-friendly, they are not good for any site, however big or small.

My one site is hosted with GoDaddy. When I was buying space from another member of my forum, he decided he wanted it all to himself. So I moved the forum to GD as one of my Admins had hosting credits.

GD is VERY not user friendly. I use A Small Orange, and have for many other sites and I have always been happy and I have received great support. GoDaddy is just interested in selling me things and I can't stand it.
