The American Civil War, also known as the War Between the States, was the only war fought on American soil by Americans. More than three million men fought, and 600,000 died. Fought between 1861 and 1865, it is the largest and greatest war in all of American history. For these reasons we love to learn about the American Civil War at CivilWarTalk.
